Apeejay Institute of Design (AID), New Delhi understands the value of unleashing talent and infusing creativity. Thus breaking the monotony of academics, AID recently organised “Talent Show” for students to reveal their hidden talent. The fun-filled fiesta hosted by Cultural Club, brought the entire institute together and broke the ice among students that fostered team-building spirit. It was an event of music, dance, fashion and excitement.

Student Khushi Dhir from GDP-II sem Foundation expressed, “The Talent Show was filled with energy, laughter, and unforgettable moments. The event was organised by the Cultural Club, it was more than just a showcase—it was a celebration of talent, creativity, and passion. One of the biggest highlights of the event was the dance performances— they were so magical ! The dancers mesmerised the audience with their precision, grace, and raw emotion, effortlessly blending classical and contemporary styles.

She further added, “From the fluid movements of Odissi and Kathak to the high-energy beats of Bhangra and Bollywood, every performance told a story. The group performances were a stunning display of synchronisation and energy, while solo dancers poured their hearts into every move, making us feel every beat and emotion. As the music filled the air, the crowd clapped, cheered, and swayed along, creating an electrifying atmosphere that made this segment one of the most unforgettable parts.”

When it comes to music, Denis Tigga, a student pursuing Graphic Design said, “A dazzling event was held at our Institute, showcasing the hidden talent of students. The event featured stunning performances inspired by contemporary and traditional themes. Adding to the evening’s charm, I performed a soulful song, captivating the audience with a mesmerising musical act. The event was a grand success, highlighting creativity, style, and artistic expression. It concluded with a celebration of fashion, music, and design, leaving the audience inspired and entertained. The Event helped us build fond memories of our college life at AID.”

The event also featured a mesmerising fashion show  on the theme “Fusion”. The drapes and ensembles celebrated the blending of diverse cultures, styles, and traditions into a harmonious and innovative showcase. It brought together elements from different eras, regions, and fashion aesthetics, creating unique designs that reflect the beauty of cultural

exchange. The budding designers experimented with fabrics, patterns, and silhouettes, merging contemporary and traditional influences—such as pairing western silhouettes with Indian traditional wear or combining street wear with regal vintage details.

Sharing her thoughts, Iqra, studying Fashion Design at AID, “The runway became a canvas of creativity, where East meets West, modern met classic, and bold experimentation lead to a mesmerising display of unity in diversity. Through graceful walk of models in “Fusion drapes,” fashion transcended boundaries, proving that style has no limits. Procuring and putting together our design idea on a platform was indeed a great learning experience.”
