The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) celebrated World Hindi Day with a significant step toward making education more inclusive for Hindi-speaking communities. As part of this initiative, AICTE launched 13 books written in Hindi, covering diverse subjects such as science, technology, environmental studies, art, and Indian cultural policies.

The launch, supported by AICTE’s Financial Assistance Scheme for publishing manuscripts, witnessed the presence of the books’ authors, who expressed their gratitude for the opportunity to contribute to this endeavor. Prof. Rajive Kumar, Member Secretary of AICTE, emphasised that these books are designed to benefit not only students and faculty but also the general public, addressing the language gap in higher education.

This initiative aligns with the goals of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, which advocates linguistic inclusivity and the promotion of Indian cultural values. Prof. Kumar highlighted the instrumental role of AICTE Chairman Prof. T.G. Sitharam, whose vision has been pivotal in bringing this project to fruition. The initiative underscores AICTE’s dedication to providing high-quality educational resources in Indian languages, thereby empowering Hindi-speaking communities.

During the event, authors introduced their works and acknowledged the support of AICTE and Hariyana Granth Academy, Panchkula, in bringing their manuscripts to life. The books span an impressive range of technical, management, and cultural subjects, demonstrating a significant step forward in promoting education in Hindi.

This initiative marks a milestone in AICTE’s efforts to bridge linguistic barriers in higher education, ensuring that technical and management education becomes more accessible to a broader audience. With these new resources, Hindi-speaking students and professionals can gain deeper insights into various fields, fostering a more inclusive and equitable educational landscape.

The event serves as a reminder of the importance of language in democratizing knowledge and the role of initiatives like this in shaping a more inclusive future for education in India.
