The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has launched the registration process for the Pragati Scholarship 2025. Aimed at supporting girl students pursuing technical education, this scholarship is now open for applications via the National Scholarship Portal (NSP).
What You Need to Know
- Application Opened: Students can now apply online through the NSP at scholarships.gov.in
- Last Date to Apply: Make sure to submit your application before October 31, 2025
- Registration Began On: The application window officially began on June 2, 2025
Who Can Apply?
If you are a girl student who meets the following criteria, this scholarship is for you:
- Admitted to the first year of a technical diploma or degree program, or the second year through lateral entry, at an AICTE-approved institute
- Only two female applicants per family are allowed to apply
- The total family income must not exceed Rs 8 lakh per annum. For married applicants, higher of parents’ or in-laws’ income is considered
Scholarship Benefits
- Amount: Selected students receive Rs 50,000 per year
- Duration:
- Up to 4 years for students admitted in the first year.
- Up to 3 years for those admitted via lateral entry
- Up to 4 years for students admitted in the first year.
- This amount can be used for college fees, books, equipment, laptops, desktops, software, and other educational expenses
How Are Students Chosen?
Selection is based on merit in the qualifying exam (such as Class 12 marks), with seat reservations for SC, ST, and OBC categories. Additionally, all eligible girl students from certain Union Territories and northeastern states will be awarded the scholarship upon applying

- Log in using the generated application ID and password.
- Update your password and complete the form with accurate details.
- Upload necessary documents, then submit the application.
