The All-India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has unveiled an exciting initiative—the Young Achievers Scholarship and Holistic Academic Skills Venture Initiative (YASHASVI) scheme 2025. This scholarship program aims to inspire and support students pursuing technical courses in core branches of engineering and technology. Here’s everything you need to know about this opportunity.

Scholarships Available

The YASHASVI scheme offers a total of 5,200 scholarships, distributed as follows:

2,593 scholarships for students enrolled in degree-level courses.

2,607 scholarships for students pursuing diploma-level courses.

The program is designed exclusively for students studying core engineering branches. The deadline to apply for the scholarships is February 15, 2025. Eligible candidates can submit their applications online via the official portal: [email protected]. Once selected, scholarship funds will be disbursed annually through the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) mode.

Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for the YASHASVI scholarship, applicants must meet the following requirements:

Enrollment Requirements:

Students must be admitted to the first year of a degree or diploma course in an AICTE-approved institution.

Alternatively, students can apply if admitted to the second year of a degree or diploma course through lateral entry.

Income Limit:

The annual family income from all sources should not exceed ₹8 lakh. A valid income certificate issued by the State/UT Government must be submitted.

Gap in Education:

The gap between the year of passing the qualifying examination and admission to the degree or diploma course should not exceed two years.

Scholarship Amount

The scholarship amounts vary depending on the type of course:

Degree Students:

Online Application: Eligible candidates must apply online via the AICTE Scholarship Portal. Detailed instructions are available on the AICTE website.

Verification by Institution: The host institution where the candidate is enrolled will verify the online application.

AICTE Scrutiny: The AICTE will conduct a second-level verification of applications.

Important Notes

This scholarship is strictly for core engineering branches. Students who switch to non-core branches in subsequent years will become ineligible and must refund the entire scholarship amount to AICTE.

If a student qualifies in the General Category merit list despite belonging to a reserved category, they will be considered under the General Category for the scholarship.

Don’t Miss Out

The YASHASVI scholarship is an excellent opportunity for aspiring engineers to receive financial support and focus on their studies. Apply before February 15, 2025, and take a step toward building a successful career in engineering and technology!
