Echoing the timeless words of Edward Bulwer-Lytton, “The pen is mightier than the sword,” the Literary Club organised a vibrant and intellectually engaging creative activity. The event was centered on the theme of Artificial Intelligence, held in observance of the India AI Impact Summit 2026. It aimed to encourage students to critically reflect on the growing influence of AI on creativity, society, and the future of design while expressing their ideas through diverse artistic and literary formats.

The activity served as an interdisciplinary platform where students combined imagination with analysis, presenting their perspectives on AI through caricature making, poster design, bookmark creation, tattoo painting, face painting, and a thought-provoking debate titled “AI — Tool or Threat?” The debate, in particular, sparked meaningful conversations surrounding ethical dilemmas, technological dependency, creative ownership, and the transformative role of AI across various domains. Participants demonstrated depth of thought as they examined both the opportunities and potential risks associated with artificial intelligence.

The event witnessed enthusiastic participation and remarkable originality across categories. In the caricature segment, Linysha Singh (GDP – IV Semester, Fashion Design) secured the first prize for her imaginative and expressive portrayal of a well-known personality, skillfully integrating contemporary AI elements into her work. In the poster-making competition, Sonika Prasad (BTE – VI Semester, Interior Design) emerged victorious with a compelling visual narrative that effectively captured the intricate relationship between humans and intelligent machines.

The bookmark creation category was won by Umar Bin Zubair (GDP – IV Semester, Graphic Design), whose visually striking and conceptually rich design reflected nuanced perspectives inspired by Tribal Art while subtly integrating the theme of artificial intelligence. In the tattoo-making category, Dhritee Saha (GDP – IV Semester, Graphic Design) impressed the judges with exceptional creativity and technical finesse, presenting a design that blended symbolism with futuristic aesthetics. The face painting category was won by Samaira Khan (BTE – VI Semester, Interior Design), whose vibrant execution and imaginative theme stood out for its originality and artistic precision.

Overall, the activity successfully fostered creativity, critical inquiry, and collaborative engagement among students. By aligning literary and artistic expression with contemporary technological discourse, the Literary Club created a platform for meaningful reflection on AI’s evolving role in shaping the modern world. The event not only celebrated artistic excellence but also encouraged students to thoughtfully engage with the broader social and ethical implications of artificial intelligence.
