Farewell ceremonies are crucial in celebrating students’ journeys, fostering a sense of accomplishment, and strengthening the bond between seniors and their alma mater. These events provide a platform for gratitude, reflection, and inspiration, ensuring a memorable transition as students step into new horizons with confidence and cherished memories.

Apeejay School, Saket, hosted its grand farewell ceremony, Abhinandan, on February 1, 2025, to honour and celebrate the graduating Class XII students. The event was a blend of emotions, nostalgia, and festivity, marking the end of a significant chapter for the outgoing batch while wishing them success in their future endeavours.

The ceremony commenced with a traditional lamp lighting, followed by sacred readings that set a solemn yet uplifting tone for the day. The Principal, Dr Sujeet Eric Masih delivered an inspiring address, encouraging students to embrace challenges with resilience and integrity. His words resonated deeply with both students and parents, reinforcing the values instilled in them over the years.

A special highlight of the event was the presence of distinguished alumnus Mr Chaitanya Dixit, who shared his journey beyond school, providing motivation and valuable insights to the outgoing batch. His experiences and achievements were a testament to the strong foundation that Apeejay School, Saket, provides its students.

The Class XI students left no stone unturned in making the farewell memorable. Their vibrant performances included energetic dance sequences, melodious musical renditions, and a dynamic drum act that enlivened the atmosphere. These performances reflected their admiration and best wishes for their seniors, making the occasion both entertaining and emotional.

One of the most poignant moments of the event was the reading of heartfelt citations by teachers, highlighting the unique qualities and contributions of each student. This was followed by the outgoing Head Boy and Head Girl expressing their gratitude, reminiscing about their cherished school days, and acknowledging the unwavering support of their mentors and peers.

Parents, too, took the stage to share emotional words of appreciation, expressing gratitude towards the school for nurturing their children’s growth and development. The symbolic ‘passing of the candle’ ceremony further reinforced the legacy of excellence, as the torch was handed over to the upcoming batch, ensuring the continuation of the school’s cherished traditions.

The ceremony concluded with a warm send-off, as students gathered to share final moments, take photographs, and enjoy a specially arranged brunch. ‘Abhinandan’ was a perfect blend of celebration and nostalgia, leaving the Class XII students with a treasure trove of memories to carry forward as they step into the next phase of their lives.
