Aagaaz 2026: A celebration of spirit

New beginnings carry a unique charm, and Apeejay School, Sector 15, Faridabad, beautifully embraced this spirit by hosting its orientation programme for the academic session 2026–2027, aptly titled Aagaaz-The New Beginning. The event set a vibrant tone right from the entrance, where a thoughtfully decorated walkway adorned with balloons and creative art installations warmly welcomed parents and students. The student council added a traditional touch by greeting guests with a tilak, creating an atmosphere of warmth and belonging.  

The programme commenced in the school auditorium as comperes, Aahana and Niyamat of Class XII, took the centre stage and extended a heartfelt welcome to the gathering, setting the stage for a memorable morning. The event was graced by the presence of the school Principal, Captain Praveen Roy, Academic Coordinator Ms Deepa Sharma, and Primary Wing In-charge Ms Gunjan Sharma. 

The ceremony began with the auspicious lighting of the lamp, symbolising knowledge and new beginnings. Esteemed dignitaries, along with new parents, participated in this ritual. The moment was further elevated by a soulful Vandana presented by the school choir, followed by the school song Badhna Saathiya, which resonated deeply with the audience.

Adding a cultural flair to the event, students presented a mesmerizing Kathak performance on Achyutam Keshavam. Dressed elegantly in red and white attire, with ghungroos enhancing the rhythm, the performers captivated everyone with their grace and devotion. 

One of the highlights of the programme was an energetic Zumba session led by Ms Shanti, the school’s sports teacher. The lively activity saw enthusiastic participation from parents, students, and teachers alike, fostering a sense of community and joy.

Taking immense pride in the school’s scholastic achievements, the Principal shared, “Our school has been ranked number one among the top schools in Faridabad in the Times School Survey. Our students excel in examinations such as Spell Bee International and the Apeejay Talent Search Exam (ATSE), earning scholarships. Their accomplishments extend to CBSE Board Exams, JEE, and other competitive exams, as well as co-scholastic domains, bringing laurels in science, innovation, sports, and cultural activities at national and international levels, supported by a strong alumni network. Our infrastructure, including well-equipped Biology and Physics labs, a swimming pool, and other facilities, enhances learning, alongside regular events such as Annual Day, Sports Day, and other thematic celebrations.”

Parents are requested to ensure punctuality, proper uniform, and that students carry ID cards and the school almanac,” she shared

Value-based education remains central through programs like the Awakening Citizen Programme and NCC training. Strong school-parent partnerships are fostered through ‘Coffee with Parents’ sessions, Sports Guru, and various school clubs. An interactive open house session was held allowing parents to clarify their queries. This was followed by a heartfelt ‘vote of thanks’ presented by the comparers. “Living in gratitude is the gateway to peace. Mrs. Konika Sharma and Mr. Rahul Sharma, parents of Umika Sharma (Pre-nursery), said, “It was an amazing session. Meeting the Principal was truly an honour. I am so excited about my child’s future. I feel completely at ease as my husband is an alumnus of the 2008 batch, which gives us great confidence in Apeejay from the very beginning.”

“It was a very engaging session. The highlight was the High Zumba activity, which brought everyone together and created a strong sense of community. I am very happy to be a part of this family,” Mrs Vaishali Aggarwal, mother of Krishti Aggarwal (Nursery), shared.

While I am slightly anxious about this new journey, I am more reassured knowing my daughter is in safe hands.
