It was a week where language was not just spoken; it was celebrated. Apeejay School International, Panchsheel Park, Delhi, wrapped its students in a vibrant tapestry of languages and cultures from February 12 to February 17. This enchanting event dubbed the Language Week and Cultural Cosmos, turned the school into a bustling arena of linguistic prowess and cultural showcase, leaving an indelible mark on the young, impressionable minds from Reception and PYP 1-5.
Day 1: Symphony of Stories in Multifarious Tongues
The opening day set the tone with a linguistic fiesta. PYP 1-5 students took to the stage, weaving stories in English, Hindi, French, Spanish, and Indonesian. Their spirited narrations were not just a display of language skills but a testament to their enthusiasm, lighting up the room with a dynamic energy that was infectious.
Day 2: Flags Fluttering in Harmony

The second day saw the school morph into a picturesque tableau of unity and artistry. Students across grades joined hands to create flags of India, Spain, France, Indonesia, and England, turning the school into a mosaic of colours. This artistic endeavour highlighted their creativity while emphasizing the importance of teamwork and cultural consciousness.
Day 3: Peer Teaching Prowess Unleashed

In an impressive display of holistic growth, students stepped into the shoes of educators on the third day. This peer teaching initiative went beyond imparting language skills; it fostered essential Approaches to Learning (ATL) skills like self-management, social, and communication skills, showcasing the comprehensive development Apeejay Education encourages.
Day 4: Parental Symphony in Book Reading Bliss

The fourth day brought parents into the limelight, transforming them into conduits of literary joy. As they delved into books with their children, the bond between parent and child was strengthened, echoing the school’s dedication to fostering a strong partnership between parents and the educational community.
Day 5: Spellbinding Stories
The grand finale was nothing short of magical, with the acclaimed storyteller Ms Swati Goyal taking centrestage. Her stories transported the children into worlds bound only by their imagination, proving that stories are a powerful tool for exploration and discovery.
The week culminated in a dazzling cultural showcase featuring games, quizzes, dance performances, cultural facts, and a spread of delicious cuisines.
