A spooktacular celebration

The Halloween celebration at Apeejay’s IB School, Apeejay School International, Panchsheel Park, was a lively blend of laughter, costumes, and imagination. On Friday, October 31, the Primary Years Programme (PYP) learners transformed the school into a cheerful haunt of creativity and excitement. The theme was clear — spooky fun with a twist of charm. From ghosts and witches to beloved characters like Wednesday Addams and Harry Potter, every student came dressed to impress.

The day began with a colourful costume walk, where children proudly showcased their spooky looks. As music played, the corridors filled with energy and applause. Learners enjoyed trick-or-treating, exchanging candies and happy moments with their friends. It wasn’t just about the outfits; it was about sharing joy, laughter, and the thrill of celebration.

The festive atmosphere brought everyone together, with teachers joining in the fun and encouraging learners to express their creativity freely. Classrooms were decorated with pumpkins, bats, and cobwebs, adding a touch of eerie delight to the surroundings.

Young learners get crafty

The youngest participants from Nursery and Reception brought their touch of creativity to the event. Using paper bags, they crafted ghost masks and paired them with white sheets and sunglasses to complete their ghostly attire. The activity encouraged imagination while giving them a sense of participation in the larger celebration.

Beyond the costumes and candies, Halloween served as a fun way to nurture social interaction, confidence, and teamwork. Teachers and learners came together to create an atmosphere filled with music, excitement, and discovery. It was a reminder that learning can be joyful and that festivals, when celebrated together, create lasting memories.

As the day ended, the school echoed with cheerful goodbyes and laughter — a perfect close to a day where imagination truly came alive.
