The Apeejay Institute of Management & Engineering Technical Campus (AIMETC) commenced its new academic session with a special prayer service. Under her visionary leadership and unwavering commitment to value-based education, such ceremonies continue to nurture a culture of gratitude, moral strength, and holistic growth within the Apeejay community.
The solemn yet inspiring service was organised under the guidance of Dr. Rajesh Bagga, Director, AIMETC. In his address, Dr. Bagga shared the deeper essence of the gathering, stating, “This prayer service is organised to offer our gratitude to the Almighty and seek His blessings as we commence the new session. I believe such rituals purify our souls, cleanse us of all negativity, and inspire us to begin afresh with renewed enthusiasm.”
Dr. Bagga also shed light on the spiritual significance of the Gayatri Mantra, describing it as a sacred chant whose vibrations resonate across the universe—beginning with the one who chants and extends peace, wisdom, and harmony far beyond.

The ceremony witnessed wholehearted participation from students, faculty, and staff across various programmes such as MBA, MCA,BBA, BCA, B.Com (H) and B Tech CSE. Together, they chanted the Gayatri Mantra and other shlokas in unison, creating an atmosphere of serenity and devotion. One student reflected, “As we bow before the Almighty in reverence, we are filled with a sense of strength and rejuvenation.”
Reinforcing Apeejay’s educational philosophy, Dr. Bagga spoke on the importance of the harmonious development of students. Quoting Mahatma Gandhi, he said, “By education, I mean an all-round drawing of the best in a child and man—body, mind and spirit.” He emphasised that such spiritual gatherings complement academic learning by nurturing values, discipline, and inner resilience.
The service was conducted by the renowned Acharya Anand Prakash, whose soulful recitation and guidance elevated the experience for all present. The chanting, combined with the Acharya’s explanations of each mantra’s significance, left the audience with a sense of clarity and peace.

The ceremony concluded with the distribution of prasad among students and faculty members—a gesture symbolising the blessings received and shared by the community.
The event not only marked the beginning of a new academic term but also reaffirmed AIMETC’s dedication to fostering value-based, holistic education that blends intellectual pursuit with spiritual grounding. It stood as a reminder that true education extends beyond books and classrooms, touching the heart, mind, and soul in equal measure.
