A powerful session at Apeejay School, Model Town

A heartfelt and inspiring session unfolded in Class VII at Apeejay School, Model Town, where students participated in a unique activity designed to spark reflection, confidence, and equality. The school counsellor initiated a simple yet powerful exercise: each student received a small slip of paper and was asked to write down their biggest dream. No names, no identifiers; just aspirations.

Once written, these dreams were collected and read out anonymously to the entire class. As students listened, something magical happened. The room filled with a sense of unity, curiosity, and admiration. From ambitions of becoming scientists, artists, and entrepreneurs to dreams of making a positive difference in society, the responses showcased the limitless imagination every child carries within.

The most profound message of the activity emerged naturally: Dreams have no gender. Whether it was a girl aspiring to become a pilot or a boy expressing his interest in classical dance, the session highlighted that passions and goals belong to individuals, not stereotypes. Students realised that ambition is universal and that everyone has the right to dream boldly, freely, and authentically.

The counsellor guided the discussion, emphasising the importance of respecting each other’s aspirations and supporting one another in the journey ahead as well. The session encouraged students to view dreams as powerful motivators that help shape their identity, regardless of societal expectations.

At Apeejay School, Model Town, such activities reflect the school’s commitment to nurturing confidence, equality, and holistic development. By creating safe spaces where students can express themselves without hesitation, the school ensures that young learners grow with courage, clarity, and a belief that they can achieve anything they set their hearts on.
