At what age did you start writing poetry?
I began writing poetry in my first year of college, around the age of 20.
What inspired you to write poems?
Poetry allows me to transform my thoughts and imagination into words. The freedom of expression it offers has always been my main inspiration.
Tell us about the thought behind your recent poem.
My recent poem, Youth and Media, celebrates how media serves as a platform for young people to express their dreams and inspire change.
Who is your favourite poet, and poem?
Neelesh Misra is my favourite poet. His poems, Main Aksar Sochta Hoon and Ek Kahani Aur Main, deeply resonate with me.

Do you prefer writing poems during the day or at night?
I prefer writing at night. The quiet atmosphere helps clear my thoughts, making it the perfect time for reflection and creativity.
How does AIMC help you write such lovely poems?
AIMC provides an environment that nurtures creativity. It inspired me to share my poems and stories, which I previously kept to myself.
How do you approach writing a poem? How much time does it take? What are your common themes?
I start by reflecting on the theme I want to explore. Depending on the idea, it can take anywhere from a few hours to several days. My common themes include identity, self-expression, and memories.
What’s the best thing about writing poetry for you?
The best part of writing poetry is transforming emotions into words that resonate with others. It allows me to share a part of myself while exploring the world in a deeply personal way.
