A new generation of leaders takes charge at Apeejay School, Tanda Road

The investiture ceremony, which is one of the most important events of the academic year, was held at Apeejay School Tanda Road, Jalandhar. The ceremony is significant as it helps in building a sense of responsibility in students and inspires them to become role models for their juniors. The school’s principal, Ms. Sangeeta Nistandra, graced the event with her presence.
The programme began with the lighting of the lamp, followed by a Ganesh Vandana, after which the school choir sang the school song that motivated individuals to never give up in life and keep striving.
Further, the prefectorial board, consisting of the names of Head Boy- Devansh Singhla, Head Girl- Vridhi Gupta, Sports Captain- Mayank Julka, and House Captains, Vice-Captains, as well as Prefects of all houses was introduced to all.
The students were then presented their badges, symbolising their sense of responsibility and leadership. They took an oath to always do their duties and understand the sense of responsibility that comes with leadership.
The school principal addressed the students, inspiring them and making them realise the importance of shouldering responsibility to become a great leader. She emphasised the importance of being responsible, committed, and accountable for their actions.
The ceremony was concluded with Ms. Deepti Kaushal, the School Coordinator, proposing a vote of thanks. The ceremony was a grand success, and it ended on a high note with the singing of the national anthem.
Investiture ceremonies are vital in every educational institution as they create a sense of responsibility among students and teach them the art of leadership. It gives the students an opportunity to lead by example and serve as role models for their juniors. Such events inspire students to become leaders, who can contribute to society in a positive way. It is a great platform for young leaders to develop their skills, confidence, and self-esteem, which will help them succeed in their future endeavours.
