‘A moment in time’: Poem by Sanvi Bhoi,  Apeejay School, Nerul

The flowers were dancing in the breeze,
I wished the moment would freeze.
With the azure sky above me,
I was filled with glee!
Time is ephemeral, fleeting and fast,
I wondered how long the epiphany would last.

The leaves on the trees were sun-kissed,
As they danced with the wind, clearing the mist.
The dandelions patiently listened,
When the birds sung as the sun glistened.
As the wind carried the scent of autumn,
All my worries and woes were forgotten.

The waves crash on the shore,
As the beguiling sea roars.
The sun sets at the picturesque valley,
As the eerie winds of the marshlands arouse me.
The moon rises in the star-speckled sky,
As the chirping crickets sing me a lullaby.

Oh! How I wish to leave the concrete jungle once and for all.
So, I could embrace mother nature and be wrapped in her shawl.
So, here I am daydreaming,
About a moment in time, when I would be residing
In nature’s loving arms forevermore
