Recently, Apeejay School, Model Town, Jalandhar, organised a heart-warming Food Donation Drive under the guidance of its dedicated teaching staff. This thoughtful initiative was part of the school’s continuous efforts to promote community service and social awareness among students. This time, the drive had a deeper impact. The students, along with their teachers, visited Andh Vidyalaya, a school for the specially-abled, where they distributed food items. This visit left a lasting impression on both the students and the recipients.
The students expressed a strong sense of fulfilment and joy. They shared that it was an emotional experience to connect with differently-abled individuals and see their happiness. The warmth, gratitude, and cheerful smiles of the recipients moved everyone.
Thoughtful contributions, meaningful gestures
The food was lovingly prepared and donated by students and their families. The items included nutritious and easily consumable goods like chappati rolls, buns, biscuits, and fresh fruits. With the rising summer temperatures in mind, the school also ensured that water bottles and juice cans were distributed to keep the recipients cool and refreshed.
These simple, thoughtful gestures showed that kindness doesn’t always need to be grand — it just needs to be genuine. The effort behind the home-cooked meals added a personal touch that brought smiles to many faces.

Instilling values through action
Such initiatives reflect the deep-rooted values of the school, inspired by the ideals of the revered Founder-Chairman of Apeejay Stya and Svran Group, Dr Stya Paul, and the respected Mrs Sushma Paul Berlia, Mrs Sushma Paul Berlia, Chairman, Apeejay Stya & Svran Group, Chancellor, Apeejay Stya University, and Chairman, Apeejay Education. Both have always advocated for acts of kindness and compassion that uplift society.
Officiating Principal, Mrs Priyanka Grover, extended her heartfelt thanks to all the students, parents, and staff who made the drive successful. She noted that the true purpose of education goes beyond academics. It also lies in developing empathy, social responsibility, and the spirit of giving.
This regular feature of Apeejay School’s outreach efforts continues to grow stronger. Each edition of the drive brings new experiences and lessons for students. Through these activities, the school reinforces the message that even small acts of kindness can lead to meaningful change.
As the school pledges to keep this spirit alive, it sets a beautiful example for others to follow: To spread love, hope, and humanity, one meal at a time.
