During a winter break, my family and I embarked on a memorable trip to Manali for Christmas eve, finding warmth and joy in my grandparents’ farmhouse. The days were filled with adventure as we explored the snowy landscapes, playing with my cousin who resided there. The evening culminated in a delightful dinner, and as the night settled in, I found myself captivated by an unexpected encounter.

While engrossed in a book, a peculiar pink light danced near the window, drawing me into the frosty night. Following the glow, I ventured into the nearby forest, where an enchanting sight awaited—a baby snow dragon, adorned with cream-colored fur, glittering pink eyes, and delicate wings. Despite her initial fear, a gentle touch established a bond between us.

To my astonishment, the dragon, named Sophia, spoke in a friendly manner. Curiosity piqued, I discovered she could communicate in various languages. She asked about my dreams, and when I expressed a desire to witness an Aurora, Sophia eagerly offered to take me there.

Seated upon her back, we soared through the crisp night air, chasing the Aurora’s elusive dance. Yet, a sudden snowstorm forced us to seek refuge in a cave. Resourcefully, Sophia used her fiery breath to create a warm bonfire. Amidst hunger, I set out for food, only to encounter polar bears. Swiftly, Sophia intervened, rescuing me with a display of her fiery prowess.

In an unexpected twist, the polar bears turned out to be helpful creatures, guiding us to their cave and offering sustenance. Grateful for their assistance, Sophia and I continued our journey to the North Pole, guided by the Ursa Major constellation. The biting cold was eased by Sophia’s furry warmth, and finally, we beheld the breathtaking beauty of a wide-spread Aurora, adorned in hues of green and pink—a dream come true.

Returning home safely, Sophia bestowed a beautiful stone, a magical token to call upon her if needed. As we bid farewell, she left me with a parting gift, and I tucked the stone safely away, reflecting on the magical adventure.

The moral of this tale is a reminder to cherish our dreams and to keep dreaming, for one never knows when they might manifest into extraordinary realities.
