A Letter to My Forever Friend – My Mumma

7 months agoon

Dear Mumma,
I want to celebrate not just the amazing mother you are, but the incredible friend you’ve always been to me.
Our bond goes far beyond the usual mother-daughter dynamic. From sharing secrets while sipping chai in the kitchen to laughing over the silliest things, you’ve been my safe space, my gossip partner, my guide, and my biggest cheerleader. I still treasure those countless afternoons spent sitting by your side as you cooked, chatting about everything under the sun—be it life, love, or the latest neighborhood drama.
You’ve taught me more than just recipes; you’ve taught me patience, strength, and how to find joy in little moments. Whether we’re trying on outfits during our shopping sprees or scrolling endlessly through online stores, adding things to the cart we know we’ll never buy—every moment with you feels like a memory I want to frame forever.
Thank you for never judging my dreams, for laughing at my terrible jokes, and for reminding me that even on my worst days, I have a home in you.
If there’s one thing I’ve learned from you, it’s that love isn’t always loud. Sometimes, it’s in the quiet presence of someone who just gets you—someone like you, Mumma.
Happy Mother’s Day to the woman who is not only my mother but my truest, most wonderful friend.
With all my love,
Navya
