A joyful blend of learning, laughter and love

Children’s Day at Apeejay School, Noida, unfolded as a heart-warming celebration of innocence, creativity and joyful learning, specially curated for students of Classes nursery to V. Held in a hybrid mode, the event ensured that children attending both physically and virtually felt equally included, engaged and cherished. With activities designed to spark happiness and curiosity, the day truly reflected the spirit of childhood—vibrant, imaginative and full of wonder.

The celebration commenced in the school auditorium with a soulful prayer, setting a peaceful and positive tone for the morning. The serene atmosphere was soon filled with thoughtful reflections as students shared the ‘Thought of the Day’, reminding everyone of the purity and joy that childhood brings. To deepen the significance of the occasion, a short and informative talk on Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru helped students understand why he is fondly remembered as Chacha Nehru and why this special day is dedicated to children all across the nation. A heartfelt poem recited by a student added a charming and emotional touch to the morning assembly.

One of the most engaging segments of the celebration was the interactive quiz, which encouraged students to think, explore and learn joyfully. The questions sparked curiosity and stimulated young minds, making the experience both educational and entertaining.

The atmosphere quickly shifted from reflective to cheerful as the teachers took the stage with a delightful array of performances. A humorous comic act brought laughter to the hall, while an energetic action song and a lively dance performance left students thoroughly entertained. A special highlight of the day was a melodious song presented by the school Principal, Dr Neha Sharma, whose heartfelt performance captivated the audience and added a personal touch to the festivities. The enthusiastic involvement of teachers and Incharges won loud applause, strengthening the warm bond between educators and students.

Following the auditorium programme, the celebration continued with meaningful hands-on activities. Students of Classes III to V engaged in creative craft work and completed enrichment worksheets based on the life, vision and contributions of Pandit Nehru. Through drawing, colouring, collage-making and paper-folding, students expressed their creativity while learning important historical facts and values.

For the younger children of nursery to Class II, teachers prepared beautifully crafted greeting cards, lovingly gifted to each child. This thoughtful gesture added a special charm, making the little ones feel valued and loved.

The school playground came alive with excitement as students participated in fun races and sports activities, promoting teamwork, coordination and physical well-being. Meanwhile, online learners joined the festivities through a live Zoom session, where they completed enrichment and craft activities from home, ensuring equal participation and enjoyment in the hybrid celebration.

The day concluded on a warm and inspiring note with an address by the Principal, who appreciated the enthusiasm of the students and the dedication of the teachers in making the event memorable.

The Children’s Day celebration at Apeejay School, Noida, filled with love, laughter and learning, beautifully captured the essence of childhood.
