Apeejay School, Nerul, hosts an overnight adventure camp for students of Grade V

A spirit of excitement filled the air as students of Class V from Apeejay School, Nerul, set off for their overnight camp. Designed to instil teamwork, independence, and leadership qualities, the two-day excursion offered students a perfect blend of adventure, learning, and joy.  

Day 1: Thrills at Monteria Resort

The journey began at 8:30 am from the school, leading students to Monteria Resort by mid-morning. A nutritious breakfast fuelled the young campers as they geared up for an exciting set of adventure activities. From navigating an obstacle course to mastering the Monkey Tail, Dollar Walk, Tyre Crossing, Vertical Net, and Swing Plank challenges, wherein students showcased confidence, coordination, and collaboration at every step.

A lavish buffet lunch followed by much-awaited water fun. The mini water park, swimming pool activities, and rain dance brought waves of laughter and energy to the afternoon. Students also indulged in indoor and outdoor games, strengthening peer bonding.

The evening unfolded with refreshments and an ice-breaking session, leading into public speaking and JAM activities that boosted communication skills. The highlight of the night was a vibrant talent show and a DJ party where students celebrated camaraderie and creativity. After a hearty dinner at 9:00 PM, the enthusiastic campers ended the day with lights out at 10:30 pm.

Day 2: Exploring Saguna Baug

The second day began with an early wake-up call and a delicious breakfast, followed by a trip to Saguna Baug. Here, students were divided into groups for agro-tours, adventure and sports activities, environmental learning experiences, and fun awareness sessions. The interactive modules not only enhanced practical knowledge but also nurtured a deeper appreciation for nature and sustainable living.

After lunch and continued activities till late afternoon, students enjoyed snacks before heading back to school. They returned by 6 pm,  tired but filled with unforgettable memories.

The overnight camp was a resounding success, enriching students with life skills, confidence, and strengthened friendships. It was truly a memorable milestone in their learning journey beyond the classroom.
