In a heartwarming initiative, students of Apeejay School, Model Town, participated in a food donation drive on April 9, 2025, as part of the school’s ongoing humanitarian efforts. Guided by their teachers, the students visited a nearby area to distribute food and refreshments to those in need. The visit was not only purposeful but also an emotional experience, as it brought smiles to many faces.

The event drew inspiration from the values upheld by the revered Dr Stya Paul, Founder-Chairman, Apeejay Stya and Svran Group, and the esteemed Mrs Sushma Paul Berlia, Chairman, Apeejay Education. Both have always advocated for service to humanity and the importance of nurturing responsible citizens.

The initiative is now a regular feature at the school and reflects its deep-rooted values of empathy, compassion, and social responsibility. The drive witnessed enthusiastic participation from students across classes who came forward to support the noble cause.

A thoughtful and caring outreach

The food items donated were both thoughtful and nutritious. From homemade chapati rolls and buns to fresh fruits and packets of biscuits, each item was packed with care. Understanding the impact of the rising temperatures, the students also distributed water bottles and juice cans to help beat the heat and keep everyone hydrated.

The freshness and flavour of the homemade food brought comfort to many. The joy on the faces of the recipients was a testament to the love and effort behind each meal. It was a small yet meaningful step towards ensuring that no one sleeps hungry.

A lesson in empathy and collective action

This drive was not just about food — it was a powerful lesson for students. Through their active participation, the young learners understood the importance of giving and caring for others. It encouraged them to step outside their comfort zones and connect with the community.

The experience fostered a strong sense of togetherness and social awareness. It reminded everyone involved that even the smallest act of kindness can create a lasting impact. Every donated item, no matter how small, carried a message of hope and solidarity.

Officiating Principal, Mrs Priyanka Grover, extended her heartfelt gratitude to all the students, parents, and staff who contributed to the success of the event. She emphasised the importance of such initiatives in shaping students into compassionate and responsible individuals.

As the school pledges to continue spreading love and hope, this food donation drive stands as a reminder of how simple acts of kindness can uplift lives and build a more caring world.
