Dr Kamal Palta is a proud parent to Tanisha Palta, a class XI student at Apeejay School, Saket, pursuing the Science stream (Medical). Inspired by her father’s impactful career in medicine, Tanisha aspires to crack the NEET exam and carve her path in the healthcare field. In a heartfelt conversation, Dr Palta shares insights about her academic choices, extracurricular interests, and the nurturing environment at Apeejay School.

What inspired Tanisha to pursue the medical stream?
She has chosen PCB (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) as her stream, drawing inspiration from my journey in the medical field. I often share patient stories at home, recounting moments where lives were saved, which deeply resonate with Tanisha and have fueled her ambition to follow in my footsteps.
How is Tanisha preparing for NEET?
Tanisha is diligently preparing for NEET with the help of her school teachers and online resources. The teachers guide and motivate her consistently. The school’s supportive academic environment is pivotal in her preparation.
Does your daughter participate in extracurricular activities?
Yes, she balances her rigorous studies with an active involvement in extracurricular activities. She participates in annual functions, drama, singing, and dance—she has even taken classes in both Indian classical and Western styles.
As a parent, are you satisfied with Apeejay School, Saket?
Indeed. I commend the school’s faculty for their attention to each student. I appreciate the Principal’s visionary leadership and the teachers’ proactive engagement with parents, ensuring children’s academic and personal growth.
What advice would you give to NEET aspirants?
It is all about consistent preparation and a competitive mindset. NEET is highly competitive, and students must start preparing from class XI. Focus on MCQs and foster a competitive environment.
