Grandparents hold a special place in the heart of every family. They are living bridges between generations — storytellers, teachers, and anchors of unconditional love. In a world that often moves too fast, children find in them a gentle rhythm, an unhurried joy, and the reassurance of traditions kept alive. Taking care of our grandparents and celebrating their presence is not only an act of gratitude but also an acknowledgment of how deeply they shape our values and hearts.

Keeping this spirit alive, Apeejay School, Rama Mandi, Jalandhar celebrated Grandparents’ Day with immense warmth and enthusiasm. The day was filled with smiles, laughter, and endearing moments as students expressed love and respect for their grandparents.

The event began with the traditional lighting of the lamp, symbolising wisdom and continuity. The school welcomed grandparents with floral greetings and heartfelt applause. The young students took the stage to sing soulful songs, recite touching poems, and present handmade cards — each gesture brimming with affection and gratitude.

Adding to the cheer, grandparents themselves became the stars of the show. They sang, danced, and even recited poems alongside their grandchildren. A lively puppet show added colour and amusement, while fun-filled games brought laughter to every corner of the room. One of the most delightful moments of the event was the ramp walk, where grandparents walked hand in hand with their grandchildren — a picture of grace, pride, and love that left everyone smiling.

In his address, Principal Mr. A. K. Sharma beautifully reminded everyone that grandparents are loving companions and guides in every child’s life. He encouraged children to honour and care for their grandparents wholeheartedly, as a way of carrying forward the values they instil.

The celebration concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks by Vice Principal Mrs. Lovleen Bagga, who praised the enthusiasm of the guests, students, and teachers. She expressed that such ceremonies bring profound joy to everyone, strengthening the family bond that defines the Apeejay ethos.

The day ended not just with applause, but with glowing faces and grateful hearts — a perfect reminder that grandparents truly are the family’s greatest treasure.
