To nurture a love for reading and encourage literary exploration among students, Apeejay School, Noida, organised a vibrant three-day Book Fair. The fair provided students with an enriching platform to explore a wide range of books catering to different age groups, interests, and reading levels.

The students from nursery to Class IX and XI visited the Book Fair along with their class teachers. The atmosphere was filled with excitement as young readers eagerly browsed through shelves stacked with storybooks, novels, comics, encyclopaedias, reference books, and activity-based titles. Students thoughtfully explored the collection and prepared their individual wish lists. To assist them in making informed choices, each child was provided with a detailed brochure containing book descriptions and prices. Many students from the middle and senior wings also made purchases during these two days, reflecting their enthusiasm for reading beyond the classroom.

The day-fair concluded was observed as the ‘Pay and Take Day’. On this day, students revisited the fair, accompanied by their parents, to purchase the books they had shortlisted earlier. The presence of parents made the experience even more meaningful, as families engaged in discussions about reading preferences and learning goals.

Adding to the excitement, several interactive activities were organised to make the Book Fair more engaging. Students of Classes I and II participated in a fun-filled activity titled ‘Five Nights at Freddy’, which sparked curiosity and imagination. For students of Classes III to V, an engaging activity called ‘Spot the Dogman’ was conducted, where participants enthusiastically took part and thoroughly enjoyed the challenge.

The Book Fair not only promoted reading habits but also helped students develop decision-making skills, critical thinking, and independent choice-making. Interacting with books beyond textbooks enhanced their curiosity, vocabulary, and imagination, while parental involvement strengthened the reading culture at home.

Overall, the event at Apeejay School, Noida, was a resounding success, leaving students inspired and motivated to embrace books as lifelong companions in learning.
