Apeejay School of Management (ASM), Dwarka, celebrated the 79th Independence Day of India with immense enthusiasm, pride, and patriotic zeal on its campus. The occasion brought together faculty, staff, and a large number of students who gathered to pay tribute to the nation’s glorious history and reaffirm their commitment to building a brighter future for India.

The celebration commenced with the ceremonial hoisting of the national flag, which was greeted with a resounding sense of pride among the attendees. As the Tricolour unfurled and fluttered majestically in the sky, the campus reverberated with the singing of the National Anthem. The solemn moment reflected the shared spirit of unity and respect for the sacrifices made by countless freedom fighters who laid down their lives for India’s independence.

Following the flag hoisting, the gathering was addressed by senior faculty members, who highlighted the importance of remembering the struggles and achievements that have shaped modern India. They encouraged students to not only feel proud of the nation’s progress but also to shoulder their responsibilities as future leaders and citizens. The message underscored the values of hard work, innovation, and ethical conduct as essential pathways for contributing meaningfully to the nation’s development.

The event also served as an opportunity for students to reflect on how the ideals of freedom, democracy, and equality can be translated into their own academic and professional journeys. Many expressed that the celebration was both inspiring and motivating, as it reminded them that their education is not only about personal growth but also about empowering them to make a difference in society.

The Independence Day celebration at ASM was thus not merely a commemorative event, but a powerful reminder of the deep connection between India’s past, present, and future. It honoured the sacrifices of the past generations while inspiring the current ones to contribute to the vision of a progressive, inclusive, and self-reliant India.

Sharing his thoughts, Kalash, a student pursuing PGDM 2024-26, mentioned, “Participating in the Independence Day celebrations at ASM gave me a sense of unity and belonging. It was a memorable experience.”

“Independence Day is not just about remembering the past, but also about taking responsibility for the future. Today’s celebration at ASM reinforced that message for me,” highlighted Priya Vishwanathan, another student of PGDM 2024-26.

The event concluded with a renewed sense of pride and patriotic fervour, leaving everyone in attendance motivated to uphold the values of freedom, justice, and unity in their everyday lives.
