Mr Vivek is the father of Prisha Rastogi, a class 2 student at Apeejay School, Faridabad, Sector 15. Pishra is a bright girl who is very sharp in Mathematics as well as Computers and loves to take part in all the activities in her school.
Speaking with us about her progress, the doting father mentions how the school goes the extra step for every child and ensures they are learning properly within the classroom. Read edited excerpts:
Sir, what are the updates about Prisha’s progress at school?
Prisha learns a lot during the time spent at school. I observe that in other schools, parents have to teach their children once they are back home. But I do not have to do this with Prisha. Everything is covered very well in school and she learns fully within the classroom itself.
That’s so good to know. Does she like extracurriculars too?
My daughter likes to participate in all the activities at her school. I see a lot of improvement in her sporting skills. She likes to skate and play badminton. In indoor games, she loves chess the most.
What about subjects?
Well, she likes Maths and Computer Science a lot. She never gets tired of studying these two.
And which one does she find tough?
Prisha does not find any subject as tough. But she is a bit non-interested in English and Hindi.
People skilled in arithmetic and logic are often disinclined to language and literature! That’s fine. Do you think so?

(Laughs) Well, Prisha is very sharp in subjects of logic. I hope she continues to excel in them and also develop interest in other fields of study.
Has she made friends in her class?
Many friends! In fact, never in the previous two years, I had to force her to go to school. She is so excited to go to the school once she wakes up and this makes me very happy.
How about the teachers? Are they engaging well?
The engagement by the teachers is very good. That is the reason I do not need to teach her at home regularly. They call us and update us about the child’s progress. I am satisfied.
And finally, any recent achievement?
Well, Prisha is acquiring some key skills in academics, sports, art, painting and dancing. She is recently learning yoga very keenly. I am very happy with the school.
