The Directorate of Education has asked the government and private schools in the national capital to have at least 40 percent competency-based questions in the exam papers.
To start with, there should be 40 percent competency-based questions for classes 3 to 9 and 30 percent for class 11 as per the new assessment guidelines issued by the Delhi government. The questions are to be increased from the coming mid-term, pre-board and annual examinations.
“In order to prepare students for real-world challenges in a world driven by information and technology and to maximise their innate potential, schools must prioritise competency-based learning,” says Manish Sisodia, Deputy Chief Minister.
