JEE (Main) Session 2, 2026: Exams from April 2 to 9

The National Testing Agency (NTA) is expected to release the JEE Main 2026 Session 2 city intimation slip soon on the official website, jeemain.nta.nic.in. The slip will inform registered candidates about the city where their exam centre will be located and the date of their exam, helping them plan travel and accommodation in advance.

JEE Main Session 2 will be conducted from April 2 to April 9, 2026. Ahead of the exam window, the National Testing Agency is expected to release the city intimation slip soon. In most years, this document becomes available around one to two weeks before the exam begins, which places its likely release in the second week of March. Students should keep monitoring the official JEE Main website for updates.

The city intimation slip allows candidates to know in advance the city where their examination centre will be located. This information is especially useful for those who may have to travel outside their hometown to appear for the test. Considering that more than ten lakh students register for JEE Main every year, early information about the exam city helps families organise travel plans and manage the final days of preparation more smoothly.

Once the link becomes active, candidates will be able to download the document from the official JEE Main portal. They will need to log in using their application number along with their date of birth or password. After accessing their account dashboard, the city intimation slip can be viewed and saved.

The slip will carry several basic details related to the candidate and the exam. These typically include the candidate’s name, application number, father’s name, gender, date of birth, category, PwD status if applicable, the medium of the question paper, the allotted exam date, and the city where the exam will take place.

Students are advised to download the document once it is released so they have enough time to plan travel or accommodation before the exam dates arrive.
