Apeejay College of Fine Arts (ACFA), Jalandhar continues to uphold its legacy of nurturing holistic development among students by encouraging them to participate in national platforms that foster leadership, cultural awareness, and social responsibility. Adding another proud chapter to the institution’s achievements, two dedicated volunteers from the National Service Scheme (NSS) Wing — Asees Kaur (BCA Semester VI) and Nisha (BA Semester IV) — represented the college at the prestigious 7-day National Integration Camp organised under the aegis of the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports.

Held at Maharaja Agrasen University in Himachal Pradesh, the camp brought together nearly 200 enthusiastic NSS volunteers from 10 different states across the country. The gathering created a dynamic platform where young participants could exchange ideas, celebrate diversity, and develop a deeper understanding of India’s rich cultural and social fabric. Through various activities, cultural exchanges, and interactive sessions, the camp aimed to strengthen the spirit of national integration among youth.

Representing Punjab with pride and enthusiasm, Asees Kaur and Nisha showcased the vibrant cultural heritage of their state through a series of captivating performances. Their presentations included traditional Giddha and Jago dances, soulful Shabad singing, and other musical performances that reflected the colorful traditions and artistic richness of Punjab. Their energetic participation and graceful performances received appreciation from fellow participants and organizers alike. By sharing Punjab’s cultural traditions on a national stage, the students not only displayed their artistic talent but also contributed to promoting cultural unity and mutual appreciation among participants from different regions of India.

Principal Dr. Neerja Dhingra congratulated both students for earning the opportunity to participate in such a prestigious national-level camp. She expressed pride in their dedication and highlighted the importance of such platforms in shaping well-rounded individuals. According to her, participation in national initiatives helps students broaden their intellectual horizons, refine their talents, and strengthen their self-confidence. She further emphasized that experiences like these play a vital role in nurturing leadership qualities and fostering a deeper sense of national unity and responsibility among young minds.

Dr. Dhingra also acknowledged the valuable mentorship and guidance of Dr. Simki Dev, Dean of the NSS Wing. She appreciated Dr. Dev’s unwavering commitment to motivating students and encouraging them to participate in meaningful activities that promote personal growth and social awareness.

The college takes immense pride in the achievements of Asees Kaur and Nisha, whose participation reflects the institution’s commitment to empowering students beyond the classroom. Through such initiatives, Apeejay College of Fine Arts continues to inspire its students to become confident, culturally aware, and socially responsible citizens who contribute positively to society.
