At Apeejay School, Panchsheel Park, the early years are shaped by a strong foundation of values, care, and holistic development. For Ms Sambhavi, mother of Anshit Srivastava of Class 1C, the journey has been one of visible transformation, from a shy child to a confident, self-driven learner. In this interaction, she shares how the school’s nurturing environment and dedicated teachers have made a meaningful impact on her son’s growth.

Read edited excerpts:

How has Anshit adapted to the school environment?
Anshit has adapted wonderfully. When he joined, we were drawn to the school’s culture and values, and I’m happy to see that they are truly upheld. Earlier, he was quite shy and introverted, but now he has become much more confident. He interacts freely, expresses his thoughts, and even discusses topics at home with enthusiasm.

What kind of academic and personal growth have you observed in him?
I’ve seen a remarkable improvement in his speaking, writing, and analytical skills. His class teacher has especially encouraged self-learning. He now tries to understand and analyse things on his own, which is something I truly appreciate.

How have the teachers contributed to his development?
The teachers have been exceptional. From his pre primary teachers to now, each of them has played a role in shaping his learning journey. As working parents, we can only give limited time, but the teachers’ dedication and hard work have made a huge difference. We are genuinely grateful.

Does the school ease the academic burden for working parents?
Absolutely. Most of the learning happens in school itself, so we don’t feel excessive pressure at home. There’s no unnecessary project burden. The school ensures that concepts and skills are built during school hours, which is very reassuring.

How does the school keep you informed about your child’s progress?
The communication is very transparent. Daily updates about classwork and activities are shared, and everything is accessible online. This helps us stay connected with his learning, even with our busy schedules.

What does Anshit share about his school experience at home?
He is a happy child and always speaks positively about his school and teachers. When asked about his favourite teacher, he now says, “All my teachers are my favourite,” which says a lot about the bond he shares with them.
