Apeejay School, Panchsheel Park, shines at Inter-school Tech Fest

The students of Apeejay School, Panchsheel Park, once again proved their mettle by excelling at the Inter-School Tech Fest hosted by GD Goenka School, Vasant Kunj. The much-anticipated event brought together young tech enthusiasts from reputed schools across the city, offering a platform to display innovation, creativity, and digital proficiency.

The participants from Apeejay School, Panchsheel Park, showcased remarkable talent and enthusiasm across various events, earning accolades for their outstanding performances. In the Meme Making competition, Nehal Verma (Class X-B) and Kashvi Kumar (Class X-B) demonstrated wit and originality, clinching the First Position. Their entry stood out for its creative use of humour and design, effectively conveying a powerful message through digital art.

Sharing about her experience of the event, Nehal said, “It was quite a futuristic tech fest and the idea of designing something new was fascinating which is why participation was a must! The challenges we faced were matching the humour of our judges and to create a realistic original design that is relevant to the theme as well. Overall experience was quite interesting, getting a chance to take part in such events increases your confidence and motivates you to work even harder.”

Speaking about her biggest takeaway from the fest, Kashvi shared, “From this event, I learned how to communicate confidently, use imagination effectively, and work as a team. It taught me that expressing thoughts through new mediums like podcasts can be a really creative and fun way to share knowledge.”

Adding another feather to the school’s cap, Nehal Verma teamed up with Mehreet Kaur (Class X-B) to secure the Third Position in the Podcraft event. Their podcast impressed the judges with its engaging content, clarity of expression, and confident presentation. The duo’s effort reflected thoughtful research and teamwork, making their submission both informative and entertaining.

Mehreet on the other hand shared that she along with her friend created a podcast based on space. “In our podcast, we imagined discovering a new planet similar to Earth, where even the people spoke our language. The experience was amazing! Visiting GD Goenka was really fun, the environment was great, people were kind and welcoming, and the event was well-organised. I enjoyed recording the podcast and expressing our ideas creatively,” she expressed.

The success of Apeejayites at the Tech Fest is a testament to their dedication, creativity, and collaborative spirit. It also highlights the school’s commitment to nurturing 21st-century skills through holistic learning experiences that go beyond the classroom.
