Recently, Apeejay School, Model Town, Jalandhar, came alive with energy and purpose as it inaugurated the Apeejay Model United Nations 2025. The two-day event brought together bright young minds to engage in debate, dialogue, and diplomacy, hallmarks of global leadership and civic responsibility.

The ceremony opened with the traditional lamp lighting and a soulful Ganesh Vandana, setting a serene and auspicious tone. The school Principal, Dr Rajesh Chandel, extended a warm welcome to all participants, encouraging them to embrace the spirit of collaboration and critical thinking that MUN represents. He highlighted how such platforms nurture confidence, public speaking skills, and global awareness among students, preparing them to face real-world challenges with maturity and empathy.

A message of change and purpose

The Chief Guest, Mr Mukilan R, SDM Phillaur, inspired the delegates with his words on leadership, compassion, and the power of youth-driven change. His message resonated deeply with students eager to make a difference in their communities and beyond.

The morning grew more colourful with a lively Bhangra performance that captured the rhythm and enthusiasm of Punjab’s cultural heritage. It reflected the zest and unity that define the Apeejay ethos — a balance of intellect, creativity, and tradition.

Looking Ahead

As the sessions unfold over the next two days, young delegates will deliberate on global issues, simulate diplomatic negotiations, and strengthen their understanding of international affairs. The event stands as a reminder that the leaders of tomorrow are already preparing to take thoughtful action today.

With thought-provoking agendas and a spirit of collaboration, Apeejay Model United Nations 2025 at Apeejay School, Model Town promises to be an enriching experience that celebrates youth leadership, teamwork, and the pursuit of peace.
