Music, dance, and community came alive at Apeejay School, Faridabad, during Dandiya Dhoom 2.0

The excitement in the air was electric, and the vibe around hummed with joy as the evening approached. With every passing moment, the energy seemed to build, when everyone eagerly awaited the most sought after event of the year- — Dandiya Dhoom 2.0 organised by Apeejay School, Sector 15, Faridabad.
The school grounds transformed into a vibrant spectacle that was nothing short of magical. As students, parents, teachers and guests stepped onto the venue, their eyes were instantly drawn to the stunning décor. Sparkling, twinkling lights bathed the area in a warm, golden glow, setting the perfect mood for an unforgettable night. Colourful sashes draped across the walls, adding a cheerful vibrancy to every corner, while delicate paper-cut flowers fluttered in the breeze, bringing a whimsical touch to the atmosphere. Everywhere you looked, the scene seemed to burst with bliss and celebration.
The evening was elevated by the presence of the esteemed Guest, Mr Om Prakash Deshwal, Senior Police Official, Sector 15, Faridabad. In his motivating address, he emphasised the significance of Navratri and encouraged the youth to embrace and carry forward the values of devotion, tradition, and togetherness.The celebration was also graced by the presence of Mrs Poornima Vohra, Officiating Principal, Apeejay Svran Global, Faridabad, Sector 21-D, whose presence added great significance to the occasion. Present on the occasion were Principal Mrs Snehlata Krishnan, Academic Coordinator Mrs Deepa Sharma, and Pre-Primary In-charge Mrs Gunjan Sharma, Apeejay School, Faridabad.

As the evening hues painted the horizon with its twinkling charm, the school campus came alive in a breath-taking spectacle of colour, rhythm, and tradition. The sacred idol of Goddess Durga procession set the tone for the evening, resonating with the soulful sounds of the conch and dhol. Dancers adorned in traditional attire moved gracefully, their steps embodying devotion and cultural splendour, filling the atmosphere with a sense of overwhelming reverence.
Expressing her immense pleasure, Mrs Snehlata Krishnan, said, “This year we have given a lot of thought to this cultural event. My purpose behind conducting this event was to introduce Dandiya (Gujrat dance form) culture to the people of Haryana. Based on the tickets sold, around 6,000 people participated in the celebrations. Hosting this grand celebration that spread joy and pleasure was an honour.”
Moving on, the celebration unfolded into a vibrant kaleidoscope of performances that kept the audience spellbound. Leading the evening’s artistic showcase, Mr Bharat, the creative mind behind Just Dance Academy, enthralled the gathering with his team’s electrifying dance sequences. The energy soared higher as the Garba, performed with unbridled enthusiasm by the crowd, became a living portrait of harmony, with dancers swaying in unison to the timeless beats of tradition. Music then took centre stage, turning the atmosphere into a symphony of emotions.
Rising star singer Sadhna Nagar mesmerised everyone with her melodious voice, while last year’s sensation, Kuntal Chaklader, returned to deliver soul-stirring renditions that drew resounding applause. Adding depth to the evening, Abhinjay Verma’s soulful guitar notes struck a chord with the audience, weaving magic with every strum. The celebration reached its crescendo with the enthralling performance of Mr Pawan Nagar, whose artistry left an indelible mark on the hearts of all present.
Sharing her experience, Mrs Sunanda Sharma, mother of Yakhsit Sharma, student of Class XI, said, “I had an electrifying time at the Apeejay School’s dandiya night, surrounded by vibrant colours, infectious beats creating unforgettable memories with family and friends in a joyous celebration. The energy and enthusiasm of the crowd was contagious and the mesmerising dance performances added to the magic of the night. It was truly an immersive experience that left me beaming with joy and already looking forward to the next one!”
But it wasn’t just the décor that made the night special; the food stalls were a feast for the senses! The air was filled with the mouth-watering aroma of freshly prepared snacks, tempting everyone to indulge in the variety of scrumptious treats on offer. From crispy samosas and papri chaat to soft, melt-in-your-mouth jalebis, the flavours were as rich and delightful as the spirit of the evening itself.











As the moments passed, the sight was nothing short of enchanting; everyone adorned in impeccable traditional attire, their laughter echoing through the festive air. When the rhythmic clinking of dandiya sticks resounded, it created a sweet, reverberating melody that spread joy and togetherness. The vibrant dance floor became a canvas of happiness, marking moments of celebration and memories to cherish for a lifetime.
Sharing her sentiments, Mrs Gunjan Sharma, shared, “Each time I reflect on the Dandiya Dhoom 2.0 event, I am filled with memories of joy, unity, and celebration. The evening was a vibrant showcase of community spirit, cultural heritage, and the universal language of music and dance. The rhythmic beats of dandiya raas brought everyone together, creating a sense of unity and togetherness. The devotional chants, colorful attire, and melodies filled the night with joy and tradition. The event was a testament to the power of music and dance to bridge gaps and foster a sense of community. The memories of this unforgettable evening will continue to shine in my memory, reminding me of the spirit of celebration and togetherness that defined the event.”
