‘Both my sons have shown immense growth’

For Mr. Jitender Kashyap, Regional Sales Manager at Star Health Insurance and his wife, Mrs. Kartika Kashyap, the decision to enroll his sons, Ayaan (Class 6) and Arnav (Class 2), at Apeejay School, Mahavir Marg, Jalandhar, has been a fulfilling one. Having moved from Chandigarh four years ago, he feels proud of the all-round development and confidence his children have gained through the school’s nurturing environment, engaging curriculum, and emphasis on life skills.

How has your experience been since enrolling your children at Apeejay School, Mahavir Marg?

It has been wonderful. Both my sons have shown immense growth, not just academically but socially as well. My younger one, who was quite shy earlier, now has many friends and enjoys participating in activities. I truly believe the grooming and exposure they receive here has helped them become confident and accepted among peers.

How does the school support students during academic transitions, like moving from primary to middle school?

The shift from Class 5 to 6 is quite significant. At home, my wife Kartika takes the lead in guiding their studies, and she has observed the effort teachers put in to make this transition smooth. The syllabus in Class 6 is more exhaustive, but with the right encouragement from school and support from us, Ayaan is coping well. The regular feedback during parent-teacher meetings also helps us work on specific areas of improvement.

What role do extracurricular activities play in your children’s lives?

A big role. Both Ayaan and Arnav enjoy drawing and public speaking. The school motivates them to participate in declamations and other activities, even if they are not perfect at it. With Kartika constantly encouraging them to take part, we have seen a visible boost in Ayaan’s confidence; he now volunteers for such opportunities himself.

How do you find the teaching style and feedback system at the school?

Teachers here put in consistent effort. We haven’t hired any tutor, as we feel the school provides strong academic support. Feedback from teachers, especially on behavioral aspects, has been valuable. We implement those suggestions at home and see steady improvement in both children.

Do your children enjoy their school experience?

Absolutely. They are proud to be part of one of the finest schools in Jalandhar. At home, they often share updates about school developments, sports, or upcoming events. It makes us happy to see them so engaged.
