For this parent, choosing Apeejay Rhythms Kinderworld, GK 2, for her younger son, Lavin Ukrani, was a natural decision. Having seen her elder son thrive during his three years at the kindergarten before moving on to Apeejay School, Panchsheel Park, she was already confident in the nurturing environment and holistic growth the school offered.
In fact, her elder son, Linoy, encouraged the choice, insisting that “the teachers are very kind.” Returning as a parent for the second time, Dr Varsha reflects on her trust in the school and her son’s joyful learning journey.
How has the school helped Lavin discover new interests or talents?
He started a little shy, but today he is far more confident. Every day, he learns something new, whether it is a rhyme, a song, or new words that have expanded his vocabulary. He now communicates comfortably in both Hindi and English, thanks to his interaction with the teachers.

What activities does your son enjoy the most?
He absolutely loves the music and movement classes and often surprises me by not just singing songs like Que Sera Sera but also explaining their meaning. He also enjoys short tennis and looks forward to the activities planned by the teacher, the occupational therapist. The play-based learning approach, balancing, and fine motor activities, spark curiosity and keep him engaged.
How do you find the balance between play-based learning and academics at the school?
The school has struck the right balance. Teachers pay close attention to each child’s development, sharing regular feedback with parents. When Lavin was initially reluctant to go to school, the teachers patiently guided me on how to ease the transition. Their support was invaluable, even for me as a second-time mother.
How do you support Lavin’s learning at home?
I try to recreate at home the sensory and play-based activities he enjoys at school. The teachers give me clues, and I build on them so that his learning continues naturally.
If you were to describe Rhythms as a colour, what would it be?
For me, it is the rainbow; bright, colourful, rich, and serene. From the greenery of the campus to the joyful environment inside, everything reflects warmth and positivity.
