The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Apeejay Stya University (ASU) successfully conducted its Faculty Induction Programme (FIP) for the Fall 2025 session. Spanning five days, the programme took place on the university campus and brought together faculty members, Heads of Departments, and Deans from various schools. The initiative was especially aimed at welcoming newly joined faculty and acquainting them with ASU’s academic ethos.

The programme commenced with an inaugural session that paid homage to Founder Chancellor Dr. Stya Paul. Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Vijay Vir Singh addressed the gathering, sharing ASU’s overarching vision and officially inaugurating the programme.

Each day of the induction was thoughtfully curated to provide a holistic orientation to the participants. The first day spotlighted contemporary teaching-learning methodologies, featuring insightful sessions on active learning, flipped classrooms, and blended learning. Renowned academicians such as Prof. Jyoti Raina from Gargi College and Prof. Kalyani Akalamkam from Lady Shri Ram College enriched the discussions with their expertise.

The second day delved into organisational development and governance. Sessions led by the Vice Chancellor, Registrar, and other senior officials offered valuable perspectives on institutional processes. A dynamic session on personality and presence by Mr. Jaideep Sinha, CRC Head, added a practical dimension for faculty development.

Outcome-Based Education (OBE) took centre stage on the third day. Faculty engaged in workshops on crafting and mapping Course Outcomes (COs) and Programme Outcomes (POs), along with strategies for practical assessment.

On Day Four, the focus shifted to digital integration in education. Faculty were trained to navigate key digital platforms such as ERP systems, Google Workspace, MS Teams, and Moodle LMS, enhancing their technological proficiency for academic delivery and evaluation.

The final day was devoted to mentoring techniques, reporting protocols, and event coordination. A standout feature was the recording of demo lectures, which were followed by feedback sessions to help faculty refine their teaching approaches.

Beyond formal sessions, the programme fostered collaboration, reflective thinking, and peer-to-peer engagement, helping faculty align with ASU’s values while embracing innovative pedagogical practices.

The Faculty Induction Programme concluded with the distribution of certificates, leaving attendees motivated and well-prepared to contribute meaningfully to ASU’s academic community.
