As these exceptional Class IX-D toppers for the academic year 2024-25, from Apeejay School, Mahavir Marg, step into the crucial milestone of Class X, they carry with them a legacy of hard work, determination, and sincere dedication to their studies. Meet Prachit Gupta and Kamakshi Jain, who have scored 93.20% and 90.40% respectively in their final exams. Their disciplined routines, focused mindset, and thirst for knowledge have earned them not only top scores but also immense pride from parents and teachers alike.
Speaking about his preparation strategy, Prachit shared, “My preparation strategy was to stay consistent throughout the year rather than wait until the last moment. I made a simple timetable that covered all subjects. I also solved sample papers regularly and revised frequently. On weekdays, I studied for two to three hours after school. On weekends, I spent more time than usual, around four hours, revising the week’s topics and solving previous years’ question papers. I always took short breaks to avoid burnout.”
Kamakshi stated that she tries to maintain regularity and study according to a fixed schedule. “I always refer to the notes given by my teachers, and I always thoroughly read the NCERT and refer to previous year questions. I don’t go to tuitions, so I study by revising the notes thoroughly and then referring to the NCERT and previous year question paper along with the notes I have prepared,” she added.
As they now step into a new session and will soon face the Board exam for the first time, how is the anticipation?
“Yes, I am nervous a little because the Board exams are very important because its marks are also required for the admissions after Class XII but I’m also confident that if I stay disciplined and keep following my study routine and also revise regularly, I ‘ll be able to handle well,” shared Prachit.
Sharing a similar sentiment, Kamakshi said, “Yes, I am nervous for the Boards next year, considering the 35 mandatory MCQ rule, which would require deeper knowledge of each topic.”
Now, with bigger dreams and aspirations in sight, they are ready to embrace the academic challenges ahead with renewed zeal. Their journey stands as a shining example of how consistent effort and the right guidance can pave the way for remarkable success and personal growth.
