The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) declared the Class 10 results for the year 2025 on May 13. In the exams, a total of 23,85,079 students had registered, and 23,71,939 appeared for the tests. Of these, 22,21,636 students cleared the exams successfully, resulting in an impressive overall pass percentage of 93.66%.
Among them are remarkable individuals whose determination and dedication have set new benchmarks in the CBSE Class 10 results. Meet Bhavleen Kaur, Mantavya Grover, and Japneet Kaur of Apeejay School, Model Town, who have brought laurels to the school. In an impromptu interview, they give credit for their success to the teachers of the school.
Bhavleen, who scored 95.4%, attributes her success to a consistent study routine and a dual strategy. “I made sure to attend all school lectures regularly, and when I missed a few due to my duties as the head girl, I made up for them by referring to online resources, especially lectures from Physics Palace. This helped me bridge any learning gaps and stay on track,” she shared and added that she has taken up Humanities in Class XI to pursue either law or UPSC.
The role of her teachers was crucial as well. “Despite my weeklong absence during the investiture ceremony rehearsals, they never once questioned me. Instead, they were welcoming and supportive, always ready to clear my doubts. Their understanding made it easy for me to manage my academics alongside leadership responsibilities,” the Head Girl shared.
Mantavya, who scored 95%, followed a disciplined routine: Waking up at 8 am during the Boards, studying for three hours, then another two hours post-breakfast, and YouTube sessions to revise key topics effectively.
The school teachers played a major role in his preparation. “They regularly gave us worksheets and practice papers, which sharpened our understanding and helped in self-assessment. Their guidance, especially in structuring revision, made a big difference. Although I was initially nervous since it was my first Board exam, consistent studying from the start of the year helped me manage the pressure. I’ve now chosen the non-medical stream and am preparing for the JEE Advanced,” he shared.
Japneet, who scored 95%, was genuinely pleased with the outcome. “My strategy was to avoid distractions completely and stay focused during study hours. I dedicated about five hours daily to academics and relied heavily on consistent preparation rather than last-minute cramming,” she said.
Attending school regularly proved beneficial. “The teachers ensured we had continuous revision and conceptual clarity. During the pre-Board evaluations, I would personally approach them to understand my mistakes, and they always took time to explain the corrections. This one-on-one support helped improve my performance. I also made it a point to ask questions without hesitation — a habit I found crucial for removing confusion early on,” she stated, while she is pursuing non-medical studies and has interests in Astrophysics and Aerospace Engineering.
“The Board exam phase brought some nervousness, but our teachers helped calm us down before each paper and offered reassurance afterwards. Their steady encouragement made the experience much less intimidating. My parents, too, were supportive throughout, especially when pre-Board scores weren’t ideal,” she said.
