In a colourful celebration of talent and teamwork, Apeejay School, Saket recently hosted a series of exciting inter-house competitions. The activities were aimed at nurturing creativity, expression, and core values among students, while encouraging healthy competition among the school’s four houses – Venus, Mercury, Jupiter, and Neptune.
The event kicked off with the ‘Tree of Qualities’ activity, where students showcased their understanding of essential human values through imaginative and artistic tree models. Each creation symbolised traits like honesty, empathy, courage, and responsibility. Venus House secured the first position for their vibrant and meaningful presentation, followed by Mercury House as first runner-up, and Jupiter House as second runner-up.

Next came the Collage-Making Competition, where young minds creatively expressed themes of equality, justice, freedom, and national pride. The collages reflected thoughtful visual storytelling, with students blending historical figures, quotes, and symbols of democracy. Mercury House clinched the first place, while Venus House earned the first runner-up title, and Jupiter House finished as second runner-up.
The final event was the Essay Writing Competition, which offered a platform for students to articulate their thoughts. The essays displayed a fine blend of research, personal reflection, and strong language skills. Neptune House emerged victorious with the first position, Venus House followed closely as the first runner-up, and Mercury House took the second runner-up spot.

The inter-house competitions were a perfect example of how co-curricular activities enrich learning and foster essential 21st-century skills. Applauding the participants for their dedication and passion, the school authorities remarked that such initiatives build confidence and instill a deeper sense of values in students.
Did you know? Activities like collage-making and value-based presentations help boost not just creativity but also empathy and critical thinking.
