The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced a free virtual training programme on Artificial Intelligence (AI) for students, scheduled for December 16, 2024. The initiative, in collaboration with IBM SkillsBuild, aims to equip students with foundational AI knowledge and practical skills.

Open to students from classes VIII to XII, the programme will provide insights into AI concepts, real-world applications, and skill-building opportunities. Expert-led interactive sessions will focus on making the training engaging and impactful, offering participants an opportunity to explore the relevance of AI across industries and its role in shaping future careers.

Students can participate free, ensuring the training is accessible to learners across CBSE-affiliated schools. CBSE has encouraged schools to promote this initiative and support student registrations to maximise participation. Interested students must register through the official CBSE website to secure their spot before the deadline.

To enhance the learning experience, participants will receive comprehensive training materials and resources. These tools will guide students in understanding AI’s significance and potential impact on various sectors.

The programme aligns with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, which emphasises integrating skill development and vocational education into the school curriculum. By providing students with exposure to cutting-edge technology, CBSE aims to foster future-ready learners equipped to thrive in an AI-driven world.

For more details and registration, students are advised to visit the CBSE website. This initiative is expected to empower young minds with essential AI skills, preparing them for the evolving demands of the 21st-century workforce.
