Apeejay School, Saket recently organised a comprehensive Capacity Building Programme (CBP) workshop focused on Active Learning for its teaching faculty. The initiative underscored the institution’s commitment to adopting innovative pedagogical strategies that nurture critical thinking, collaboration, and creativity in students.

The workshop began with a warm and sustainable green welcome from the esteemed Principal, Dr Sujeet Eric Masih. This gesture reinforced the school’s ongoing dedication to environmental consciousness, aligning with its holistic educational philosophy.

The session was led by Mr Surjan Singh and Ms Nita Arora, renowned CBSE trainers and experts in active learning methodologies. Their extensive experience and dynamic presentation style captivated the participants, providing valuable insights into the implementation of active learning techniques in daily classroom instruction.

Throughout the workshop, the facilitators emphasised the transformative impact of active learning on student engagement and academic achievement. Through a series of engaging activities, the teachers experienced firsthand how to integrate interactive methods into their lesson plans. These activities demonstrated strategies that encourage students to think critically, collaborate effectively, and express creativity — essential skills for 21st-century learners.

A highlight of the workshop was the interactive group sessions, where teachers actively participated in designing and presenting their own active learning modules. These collaborative exercises not only fostered a deeper understanding of the concepts but also showcased the practical applications of active learning strategies. The resource persons provided constructive feedback, further enriching the participants’ learning experience.

The workshop concluded on a high note with a vote of thanks delivered by Vice-principal Ms Ashu Khattar.
