Read edited excerpts here.
What are you doing professionally now?
I did LLB from Symbiosis Law College, Pune and since 2007, I am practicing as an advocate in Supreme Court of India, Delhi High Court, District Courts and Tribunals.
What does a typical day look like?
My day starts at 6 am when I usually sit down to read my files and prepare for Court work for the day. I leave for Court by 9:30 am and return to office by 4 pm for next day’s preparation and meetings with my clients. Once I am done, which is usually by 7 pm, I get back home to spend time with my son, my parents and my wife.
Tell us about your school life.
School life was great. I am part of a batch which started under small two to three rooms and I am fortunate enough who saw the school grow in front of our eyes. We had great teachers and our principal were like second father and mother.
Share a few nostalgic memories from Apeejay.
School memories don’t fade away ever. One special memory that I can recollect is that on a particular sports day, Dr Stya Paul had come himself to distribute awards and interacted with us. I can’no’t ever forget the life lessons he gave us and he taught us to always uphold our moto ‘soaring high is my nature’ in our lives.
How were the teachers at Apeejay?
I think all the teachers were very good and dedicated towards their duty. They did scold us like anything but I am thankful for that as what I am today is because of them.

What is goal?
At this juncture of my life, I have realised that having dreams and setting goals is not a progressive and positive approach. If you tend to set goals and try to fulfil your dreams, you are trying to work for materialistic things which are not present in your life. This approach is negative and regressive. So instead of setting goals, I have processed my mind to constantly work on myself and improve to become a better lawyer, a better father and a better human being. Good things in life follow suit!
Any message for the students of the school.
When you are studying just focus on that and when you are playing just focus on that. Both are important but focus should be right.
Your comments on the brain drain trend.
Brain drain has been an absolute loss since time immemorial now and must stop. This generation must realise, if you do good in India and earn decent amount of money, you can live life like a king.
How did Apeejay help you hone your skills?
Apeejay inculcated in me the spirit of its motto ‘Soaring High is My Nature’ since I was four years old. Thus the way I lead my life and the way I see things is greatly motivated by my school.
