75% of business pros see coexistence of AI and HR: Report

In a recent survey conducted by Keka, a prominent HR Tech platform, over 90 per cent of Human Resource practitioners expressed their views regarding the ethical implications of AI in HR. This survey aimed to gain insights into the evolving landscape of Human Resources, leading Keka to release a report titled “HRs as Change Agents 2023.” The report delves into the perspectives, challenges, and strategies that HR professionals must embrace in today’s dynamic market.
The report highlights that more than 90 per cent of respondents share apprehensions about the ethics of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in HR, specifically focusing on issues of privacy and bias. These concerns remain at the forefront for HR professionals navigating this transformative terrain. Despite these ethical concerns, 75 per cent of business professionals believe that AI and the HR function will coexist.
Key findings from the report also revealed that 32 per cent of professionals believe there is a need for greater understanding of people analytics among HR professionals to enhance their ability to present compelling cases to organizational leaders.
In addition, it was observed that 25 per cent of organisations primarily utilise people analytics for recruitment, while 21 per cent use it for employee engagement. Overall, 55 per cent of respondents believe that their efforts in people analytics are moderately effective, indicating that challenges persist.
