6-month executive programme in Gen AI: IIT-Delhi

In response to the growing demand for skilled professionals in Artificial Intelligence (AI), the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IIT-Delhi) has announced the second edition of its Certificate Programme in Generative AI. Offered under the Continuing Education Programme (CEP), this six-month online course is designed for working professionals eager to deepen their expertise in cutting-edge AI technologies. 

Open to professionals across sectors like Software Engineering, Machine Learning, Data Science, Digital Product Management, and Applied Research, the programme also welcomes educators and tech-savvy individuals aiming to transition into AI roles. The curriculum focuses on Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), Natural Language Processing (NLP), and ethical AI development.

Participants will receive hands-on training in tools like Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, spaCy, and Hugging Face. Real-world industry applications will be explored through tutorials and capstone projects in sectors such as healthcare, finance, education, and autonomous systems.

Advanced modules cover topics including neural network development, transformer-based architectures, multilingual NLP, and parameter-efficient fine-tuning (PEFT). Learners will also get to learn about modern models like GPT, BERT, and T5, as well as new techniques such as instruction tuning, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), reinforcement learning with human feedback (RLHF), and advanced prompting methods.

The course, which combines live online sessions and self-paced learning, offers 60 hours of instructor-led classes and culminates in a 10-hour capstone project. An optional one-day campus immersion is also available. Eligible candidates must hold a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics. Graduates will receive an e-certificate from IIT Delhi CEP.
