11th Punya Tithi: Apeejay family extends a heartfelt tribute to Smt Rajeshwari Paul

ACFA and AIMETC in Jalandhar organise a special prayer meeting to pay tribute to the First Lady of the Apeejay Stya Group

Marking the 11th Punya Tithi of Shrimati Rajeshwari Paul, the First Lady of the Apeejay Stya Group and beloved wife of late Founder-Chairman Dr Stya Paul, Apeejay College of Fine Arts (ACFA), Jalandhar, paid a heartfelt tribute.

On this occasion, the Principal, teaching and non-teaching staff gathered to remember the immense contribution made by Smt Rajeshwari Paul for society. They offered flowers and prayed for the peace of the pious soul of Smt. Rajeshwari Paul Ji. Further, Dr. Vivek Verma, one of the faculty members, also paid homage to Shrimati Rajeshwari Paul by singing hymns. 

While paying her floral tribute, Dr. Neerja Dhingra, Principal at ACFA, said that Smt Rajeshwari Paul was keenly interested in Fine Arts, and thus inspired by her Dr Stya Paul ji had established Rajeshwari Kala Sangam to make all forms of art accessible to the general public. “That very institution today has flourished and touched heights in the form of Apeejay College of Fine Arts, which has been playing an important role in the preservation and promotion of fine arts in today’s world.” 

She also added that currently Mrs. Sushma Paul Berlia, daughter of Dr. Stya Paul and  Shrimati Rajeshwari Paul, is carrying forward this legacy.

Similarly, Apeejay Institute of Management & Engineering Technical Campus in Jalandhar held  a prayer meeting on this occasion for Smt. Rajeshwari Paul Ji, who was a motherly figure and lady of kind and gentle nature.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Rajesh Bagga, Director at AIMETC mentioned, “Smt. Rajeshwari Paul Ji was fond of Indian Classical Music, horse riding and was a very spiritual person, well-versed in Sanskrit shlokas, devotional songs and hymns.”

Dr. Bagga also elucidated the meaning and significance of various Sanskrit shlokas in everyday life like “Vakratunda Mahakay Suryakoti Samaprabha” and कर्पूरगौरं मंत्र, while highlighting the rejuvenating impact of chanting Om sound in everyday life. He expressed the spiritual temperament and demeanour of Smt. Rajeshwari Paul Ji had played a crucial role in bringing positivity in our lives and infusing optimism around. 

He emphasised, “She had a kind and gentle disposition that fascinated everybody around. She was a motherly figure, who was keenly involved in various charitable works. Her contribution in the field of education is immense. She was one of those rare persons who rose above others to bring hope and faith in the life of many, making their life all the more beautiful.”

He also mentioned that Smt. Rajeshwari Paul  was also fond of listening to hymns, bhajans and devotional music. Some of her favourite bhajans and couplets of Saint Kabir were played on the occasion. The ceremonial gathering ended with the distribution of prashad.
