“Ganpati Bappa Morya!” – the joyous chant echoed through the auditorium of Apeejay School, Saket, as the school community came together to celebrate the auspicious festival of Ganesh Chaturthi. With devotion and enthusiasm, students and staff marked the occasion with rituals, prayers, and cultural offerings, seeking the blessings of Lord Ganesha – the harbinger of wisdom, prosperity, and new beginnings.
The celebration began with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp before the beautifully adorned idol of Lord Ganesha, decorated with fresh marigold garlands and vibrant flowers. Teachers and students participated in the aarti, chanting sacred mantras and verses such as “वक्रतुंड महाकाय, सूर्यकोटि समप्रभा। गणपति बप्पा मोरया, सबके संकट हर प्रभा॥” The divine atmosphere filled the hall, instilling a sense of peace and positivity among all present.

Young Learners Join in Devotion
Rows of young students, dressed in their crisp blue and white uniforms, sat attentively, clapping and singing along with the devotional hymns. The sight of their innocent enthusiasm added charm to the occasion, making it a true blend of learning and tradition. Teachers guided the children in understanding the cultural and spiritual significance of Ganesh Chaturthi, encouraging them to imbibe values of humility, devotion, and gratitude in their lives.
The highlight of the celebration was the Ganesh aarti, performed with deep reverence by the school staff. With incense, diyas, and offerings of sweets like modaks (the favourite of Lord Ganesha) the rituals were conducted in an atmosphere of togetherness and respect. The symbolic prayers were not just a mark of religious devotion, but also a reminder of the importance of removing obstacles and embracing wisdom in both education and life.

The event served as a meaningful moment of spiritual connection, where students learnt that festivals are not only about rituals but also about celebrating harmony, culture, and community.
The Ganesh Chaturthi celebration at Apeejay School, Saket, concluded with the collective chant of “Ganpati Bappa Morya!” reverberating in the auditorium, leaving everyone with hearts full of joy and blessings for the days ahead.
