The students of class VII-B at Apeejay School, Panchsheel Park, led an inspiring morning assembly on the theme Moral Values and Hard Work is the Key to Success recently. The assembly focused on the significance of ethical behaviour and perseverance in achieving one’s goals, setting a positive tone for the day.
The assembly began with the school prayer, creating an atmosphere of reflection and reverence, followed by the Saraswati Vandana, invoking blessings for wisdom and knowledge. The students then introduced the word of the day, ‘perseverance’, explaining its meaning and how it relates to the theme of the assembly. This was followed by the thought of the day, which encouraged students to stay committed to their goals despite challenges.
A highlight of the assembly was a speech delivered by a student, which emphasised the importance of moral values and hard work in achieving success. The speech was both motivating and insightful, encouraging students to integrate these principles into their daily lives.
To further energise the assembly, the students sang the motivational song “Kar Har Maidan Fateh,” inspiring everyone to face challenges with courage and determination. The song’s powerful lyrics resonated with the theme, adding a vibrant and uplifting element to the gathering.
The assembly also included a brief quiz on moral values and perseverance, which saw enthusiastic participation from students. The quiz not only tested their knowledge but also reinforced the importance of these virtues in a fun and engaging way.
The event concluded with an address by the Vice-principal, Ms Vandana Bansal, who emphasised the importance of hard work and planning in achieving success. Drawing from the teachings of The Bhagavad Gita, she shared a shlok that conveyed the message of focusing on the process rather than the results, urging students to continue working hard and stay determined.
