Recently, Apeejay School, Tanda Road, organised a vibrant Subject Enrichment Activity for its UKG students under the EVS curriculum. The theme of the activity was Seasons, with a creative focus on DOB Clipart through Season Reflection. The initiative aimed to help young learners connect personal experiences with classroom concepts in a joyful and meaningful way.
The activity invited students to explore the season in which their birthday falls. Each child created a Date of Birth clipart linked to that specific season. Some reflected summer through bright colours, while others captured the freshness of spring or the calm of winter. This simple yet thoughtful task helped students relate abstract ideas to their own lives.
Hands-on creativity in action
Alongside the clipart activity, students engaged in paper-folding and pasting tasks. They crafted an origami tulip and went on to design a colourful bouquet using their creations. The classroom buzzed with excitement as little hands worked with focus and pride. Teachers guided the process, encouraging neat work and creative choices without taking over the experience.
The activity strengthened the children’s understanding of seasons while also building fine motor skills. It supported imagination, colour sense, and visual expression. More importantly, it encouraged observation and personal reflection at an early age. Students learnt that learning doesn’t stay limited to books and worksheets.
A joyful learning experience
The Subject Enrichment Activity proved to be an engaging blend of learning and creativity. It reinforced EVS concepts in a gentle, age-appropriate way. The experience left students smiling, confident, and eager for more such explorations in the classroom.
