Toppers advise NEET aspirants to focus on weak areas and analyse mistakes to score high

In a testament to their dedication, discipline, and determination, four students from Apeejay School, Mahavir Marg have emerged as top achievers in the NEET UG 2025 result. Riya VasudevAranya Mittal, Anandita Anand, and Mannit Singh have secured exceptional percentiles in NEET UG 2025, placing them among the toppers list and bringing immense pride to the school community.

Riya Vasudev:

With an outstanding 99.91 percentile, Riya Vasudev aims for nothing short of excellence. “It feels very good, like I’ve accomplished something big,” she shared. Inspired by her parents – both doctors – Riya dreams of becoming a neurosurgeon. She stuck to NCERT for Biology, reading it “line by line, word by word,” and solved high-level numericals in Physics and Chemistry to sharpen her concepts.

Her revision strategy involved focusing on weak areas, avoiding tests in the final week, and honing her accuracy. “My teachers played a huge role. They always supported and encouraged me,” she added. Riya advises aspirants to focus on Genetics and Plant Physiology in Bio and pay special attention to Rotational Motion and Organic Chemistry, where many stumble.

Aranya Mittal:

Scoring 99.26 percentile, Aranya Mittal credits his success to consistent practice and a simple mantra – “Concept is power.” With strong fundamentals in Physics since childhood, he divided his day by subjects and ensured time for self-care. “I didn’t have a fixed schedule but always had daily targets,” he said.

Aranya relied on NCERT, school modules, and selective reference books like H.C. Verma. He emphasised mistake-tracking using a dedicated notebook and regularly reviewed his weak areas. His top tip? “Time flies. Two years may seem long but pass quickly. Don’t waste time on distractions – keep your focus sharp.”

Anandita Anand:

With a 98.65 percentile, Anandita Anand believes improvement lies in test analysis. “I never stopped analysing my mistakes. I changed my approach after every test to find what suited me best,” she explained. Anandita relied on YouTube videos, NCERT, and resources like BC Pandey and NCERT.

Biology was her strength, and she recommends focusing on Biotechnology and Molecular Basis of Inheritance, especially from Class 11. “Both years should be balanced for NEET,” she said. Anandita aims to pursue medicine in a Punjab Government college and praises her teachers’ unwavering support for academic and emotional strength.

Mannit Singh:

Mannit Singh, with a 96.77 percentile, says the biggest relief came not from the result but from finishing the two-year-long journey. “You get bored studying the same thing. Finishing NEET felt like freedom,” he smiled. For Physics and Physical Chemistry, Mannit swears by practice; for Bio and Organic Chemistry, its repeated revision and short notes.

Teachers at Apeejay School were instrumental in accommodating NEET aspirants, providing flexibility and one-on-one support. Mannit, a Physics enthusiast, says, “Find your loop – if you enjoy it, you’ll master it.” His advice: don’t skip topics in Physics, cover everything thoroughly with NCERT, and follow teachers’ guidance without overthinking.
