The school conducts regular education trips and excursions to enhance experiential learning, foster independence, and teamwork,” she stated.

The orientation proceeded with an informative induction session led by Ms Sarika, who outlined essential school guidelines such as dress code, school timings, ID card usage, and dispersal procedures. She also highlighted mandatory requirements, including the school almanac, PTMs, subject selection, periodic assessments, project-based learning, and subject enrichment activities. A strong emphasis was placed on maintaining a minimum of 75% attendance for Class IX students. The use of visual presentations on screen ensured clarity and better understanding for parents.

One of the key highlights of the programme was the school’s strict no-phone policy for students, reinforcing discipline and focus within the campus. Additionally, the institution’s zero-tolerance stance towards any form of abuse was reiterated, underscoring its commitment to a safe and respectful environment.

Ms Dutta, taking the  stage, elaborated on structured parent-school engagement, detailing appropriate channels and timings for meeting administrators to foster healthy communication. She also introduced the school’s four houses, Ashoka, Akbar, Tagore, and Vivekananda, and spoke about Intra-house and Inter-house activities, special interest clubs, MIT clubs, Sports Guru initiatives, the Awakened Citizen Programme, and NCC opportunities that contribute to overall student development.

Ms Dasgupta provided insights into academic and co-scholastic frameworks, along with the importance of attendance, which is said to be mandatory for class IX students to have a minimum of 75% of attendance as per the CBSE rules.

Ms Manisha Syan highlighted the Parent-Teacher Connect through digital platforms like the parent app and Moodle, explaining features like attendance tracking, leave applications, fee updates, syllabus access, calendars, circulars, and results. The school’s transition to a paperless, digitally enabled system was particularly appreciated.

The session concluded with an interactive segment where parents shared feedback and raised queries. Mr Lalit Kataria, a newly associated parent, appreciated the programme for offering clear guidance and direction, while Ms Pooja, mother of a Class IX student, commended the well-structured approach and welcoming environment.

A ‘vote of thanks’ was extended by Ms Garima Gauba “We extend our heartfelt thanks to all the parents who took the time to attend this orientation programme.
