‘This school helps children learn their cultural traditions’

Mrs Shweta Misra is a homemaker and her husband, Mr Gaurav Misra, is a Software Engineer working in WIPRO. Their children Ira and Srija are class 5 and Kindergarten students in Apeejay International School, Greater Noida. In a brief interview, Mrs Misra tells us about the school education system and also gives an update about her daughter’s progress. Read edited excerpts:

Was Srija’s admission easy as a process?

It went very smoothly. I was satisfied with Ira’s experience at the school, and so, I chose the school again for my younger daughter. I trust the education system of the school.I remember during Ira’s admission, Ramayan was being enacted in the school and I was so impressed to see that this school focused on helping the students imbibe different cultural traditions.

How are Ira and Srija performing at the school?

Both are very happy and performing well in the school. Srija is too small to have an interest in a particular subject. She loves to play and participate in her class activities. Ira, on the other hand, is a very good dancer and learns Khattak. She likes Math the most among her subjects.

Are the teachers engaging well with the students?

Ira’s Math teacher, Jasjeet ma’am, is a very nice educator. She is the reason behind Ira’s positive attitude towards Math.

Would you recommend the school to other parents for admission?

I have already recommended the school to one or two of my close friends.

What is the best thing about the school?

The fact that the teachers pay attention to every child. They identify their weakness and help develop it into a strength. They even take extra classes at times. They focus a lot on the child’s overall development.
